Ladder Trivia: 1) From 2003 to 2006, only two Singles Ladder players finished in the top 5 of their division all four years. Both are currently active on the 2010 Ladder. 2) From 2003 to 2006, only two Doubles Ladder players finished in the top 5 of their division all four seasons. Both did so with multiple partners, but not with each other. Only one is currently active on the 2010 Doubles Ladder (though the other is currently active on the 2010 Singles Ladder). Remember, there is a raffle drawing for a $50 gift certificate from I Play Tennis each segment, so sign up today! If you're interested in playing on the Ladder, click here to register. Congratulations! to Gregg Coldiron's USTA 4.5 team (picture) for winning the Georgia State Championship this past weekend, May 16, in Augusta, GA. ATTA members on this winning team includes Michael Brock, Gregg Coldiron (captain), Mark Dukes, Kenneth Felts, Michael Graham, Jon Guerrica, Geoff Hall and Josh Robinson. Good luck to you all at USTA sectionals in Birmingham, AL in July! Krista Clarke's ALTA AA2 team won ALTA City Finals this past weekend too. She and Alison Sternfels are ATTA representatives on that team out of Sharon Lester Tennis Center/Piedmont Park. In addition, Krista Clarke played in the Georgia State Championship and won doubles #1 for her USTA 4.5 women team ---GA State Champs! Brian McGuffey's USTA 4.0 team (picture) placed second in group I of the Georgia State Championship. ATTA members of this team includes Simon Briceno, Robert Brumfield, Gary Greene, Patrick Head, Kyle Register, Eddie Verdin and Chris Walling. |
